Hi!
I’m Meighan.
I’m a product strategist, researcher, and educator with a love of building thoughtful products and engaging with the unique communities that use them.
What I Do
PRODUCT STRATEGY
Knowing where to start and what to do next when it comes to developing a product can be tricky. I love being able to take something from nebulous idea to something that’s out in the wild. Whether it’s elements like longer term vision, initial research, beta testing, or go to markets, each component is critical to the success of a product. I’m able to focus on the fine detail as well as the big picture while keeping end users in mind.
UX RESEARCH
I bring curiosity and rigor to complicated spaces. I thrive when I can collaborate with my colleagues to create order and make informed decisions about where a product needs to go. I help people better understand the point of view of users and bring empathy to the table when we often lack the full gravity of a space. While my focus is typically qualitative research, I work to combine qual and quant to tell a more holistic story and inform strategy.
COMMUNITY BUILDING
Both in and outside of product development, building and fostering communities is one of my passions. Beta groups, supply generation, and balancing user education with excitement for the product is one space where I’ve had the opportunity to be creative. I’ve also spent the last several years as a co-founder and leader of an amazing employee resource group (ERG) for those who identify as women and non-binary in my current organization. With close to 100 members, I work with a leadership team to be thoughtful about how best to empower a bright, amazing group of people.
MENTORSHIP & SUPPORT
As a educator at heart, mentorship has always been one of the favorite things in my professional life. Both in and out of my current role as a lead ux researcher, I relish in making time to chat with other people who are early in their careers or just getting started in research or EdTech. I’ve often also found myself working with those who’ve decided to make a career change out of education or academia; helping teachers realize that their strengths in the classroom translate beautifully to user research or tech more generally, has been one of my favorite new focus areas. You can find me through ADPList or just drop me a message!
